Our story
It all started with a love for the game—and a little one who couldn’t get enough of it. We’re a mom and dad raising a hockey-crazy kiddo, and the rink is where we spend most of our time. Both of us grew up playing hockey and have stayed heavily involved in the community, but when our child started showing a passion for the sport, we realized something was missing.
As we looked around for gear for our little one, we couldn’t find anything that truly captured the spirit of hockey. There were plenty of options for adults, but nothing that felt like it was made for the next generation of players and fans. That’s when we decided to create Minor Penalty—a brand born out of our passion for hockey and our desire to give our child, and others like them, a way to wear their love for the game from day one.

We’ve poured our hearts into every piece we design, inspired by our own experiences growing up on the ice and now sharing those moments with our kid. Whether it’s a hoodie for chilly rinkside days or a onesie for the tiniest future all-stars, we created Minor Penalty for families like ours—where hockey is more than a game; it’s a way of life.
